Our roots are deeply tied to our volunteers as OWCF was a volunteer-led organization for many years.  Thanks to the support of our caring community, we have been able to expand our programs that today serve thousands of children around the world. HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

1) Throw a house party: Invite your family and friends to your party to spread the word about our programs and raise funds for grassroots groups that are transforming the lives of children.

2) Event Planning: We need support with event planning and publicty for our events lined up in the Summer and Fall.

3) Writing and editing: Our new web site is currently under construciton, and we are looking for strong writers and editors to support us with the content.

4) Coordinate our volunteers: We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person who will manage, recruit and energize our volunteer base. 

5) Join a committee: We have several committees where volunteers take up leadership positions. Some of these committees are 1) Fundraising 2) Outreach with schools 3) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) where we build partnerships with local businesses and companies 4) Support with the planning and execution of our new web site

2008 VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION PARTY!

We had a beautiful, heartfelt celebration where we honored our extraordinary supporters. We also presented our 2008 Angel Awards to Bree Barbeau, Jason Eckl, Rebecca Roudman, Shellie Owens and Duke Houston for their terrific support over the years.

On April 23, we hosted a festive celebration to honor our volunteer community. The 2009 Angel Awards were presented to women from communities in Marin County and students from St. Hilary School who participated in the Quilting Project, Sai Kiran, Andrew Gentile and Gail Blumberg.
